Clark Knows Decision Was Right

Rialto (Calif.) Carter defensive tackle Kenneth Clark, a UCLA verbal, said the USC win shows him he made the right choice...

When Rialto (Calif.) Carter defensive tackle Kenneth Clark committed to UCLA in June, some people questioned his decision to commit to a program that was underachieving, and had an unproven head coach and new coaches to the collegiate game.

But Clark paid no mind to it, and as the four-star was at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, seeing UCLA beat USC, Clark knew he'd made the right decision.

"The UCLA-USC game was a great experience," said Clark. "I can finally see that I'm coming in at a great time."

Clark has been to a number of Bruin games this fall, and he's saw the improvement of the UCLA team, and he thinks they're just scratching the surface.

"I really believe UCLA will be one of those top programs again," said Clark, who chose the Bruins over offers from schools like Miami, Oregon, Washington and Cal.

Clark said the game was nerve-wracking, but he enjoyed every bit of it.

"The game was great," said Clark. "My heart was beating fast on every big play."

Clark and his Carter team are 12-0 on the season, and will play Romoland (Calif.) Heritage on Friday in the CIF-SS Central Division semifinals.

Selected to play in the CalState Game, Clark said he's uncertain when he'll take his official visit to UCLA, but that will be his only official trip.
