"It really hasn't hit me yet that our season is over," Goodman said. "I feel as an offense and defense, we worked as hard as we could. I'm happy with how we fought and never quit, even when we were down.
"For me personally, I feel good about how I competed this year. I feel I did my best and I'm proud of our team, we did the best we could and that's all you could ask for."
On the recruiting front, Goodman took his first official visit last weekend to UCLA and said he had a great time.
"I think what stood out the most was just hanging out with the team and players all weekend," Goodman said. "That's a very special group of guys and you can tell by how they talk to each other and interact. It was really cool to be with the team after the USC game, the locker room was crazy and the whole atmosphere there was a lot of fun.
"I have a good relationship with a lot of the players on the team already. They help me out and let me know how the program runs. Justin Combs was my host and he showed me around the campus and took me out. I had a great time with all the players on the team and I'm definitely very comfortable with the program and the direction things are going in."
The opportunity to play early at UCLA is another plus for the Bruins.
"The coaches talk about their need for safeties but I can see it for myself when I watch them," Goodman said. "I can see how I would fit in there and the opportunity to play right away is there if I come in and I'm ready. UCLA has some good commitments coming in and I have a really good feeling about the team.
"I haven't set up any other trips yet but I know I'm going to LSU and USC. I wanted to finish off my season before I locked in any other trips so I can focus on that now. I'm not sure about my last two visits, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Washington and a few other schools are still recruiting me hard so we'll see.
"I could commit at the Army game but if I know where I want to go before then, I'll go ahead and commit. I won't hold off just to do it at the game but I'm not going to force it either. When I feel 100% ready, I'll go ahead and do it."
