Benenoch Recaps UCLA Visit

We caught up with Texas offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch, who provided us a recruiting update following his official visit to UCLA...

It's getting closer to the time when Katy (Tex.) Seven Lakes offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch makes his call on where he would like to attend college. And one of his final stops as it pertains to official visits was to UCLA to watch the Bruins take on Stanford this past weekend.

Though the Bruins did not come away with the win, Benenoch enjoyed what he got to take it.

"Everything went good. I liked the way things went down there," Benenoch said. "I enjoyed being on campus and I got along with everybody."

For players taking official visits, that is one of the key factors they look at when choosing a program. And the 6-foot-6, 320-pound Benenoch is no different. Showing him the ropes for the weekend was a fellow Texan in Simon Goines

Of course in addition to the game, there has to be some chalk talk happening and Benenoch spoke about the conversation he had with the coaching staff.

"I got to sit in on some of the meetings they had while I was down there," Benenoch said. "The coaches told me that they will need help at the right guard position, and that that is where they want me to play."

In addition to UCLA, Benenoch has named a final four, which includes Texas, Oklahoma and Baylor. All schools on the list have gotten a visit.

But one stop does remain.

"My mom wants me to take an official visit to Baylor. So I will go up there for the Oklahoma State game," Benenoch said. "After that visit, I will sit down with my parents and make a decision. It should come about a week after I come back from my last visit."
