And that decision will play a big factor in determining another big decision.
The first choice he'll have to make is his position for the next level. Once he does that, the school he chooses should fall right into place after.
"The majority of schools are recruiting me as a quarterback," said Richardson. "But a couple are recruiting me as a receiver or tight end. My heart is at quarterback, but receiver is pretty natural to me. I'll do whatever gets me a better chance at the league."
"I visited South Florida and Tennessee before the season, and they were still recruiting me, but I'm seeing what they're doing with the new coaches," said Richardson. "And I haven't heard from Ole Miss or Missouri for a while."
That leaves Western Kentucky and UCLA as two schools sitting their prominently for Richardson. The Hilltoppers are recruiting Richardson as a quarterback while the Bruins as a tight end.
"I had an in-home visit with Western Kentucky and I'm going to try to take an official visit there," said Richardson. "I'm planning to go to out UCLA next week for my visit. If I don't end up taking it then, I'll go in January. Coach Tui (Marques Tuiasosopo) is recruiting me pretty hard to UCLA."
Richardson, though, said he's not favoring any one school.
"I'm wide open, I'm just trying to figure it out," said Richardson. "Western Kentucky and UCLA are recruiting me pretty hard, but I want to see what happens with Tennessee and USF."
And Richardson isn't in any rush to make a decision.
"I'm going to try to take all five official visits so I probably won't decide until January," said Richardson.
