"Man, I don't know what I'm going to do now," Willis said. "I really have to rethink everything now. This was visit was way better than I expected. I mean, I knew I was going to have a good time but it really exceeded my expectations. I thought I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do before the visit and when I wanted to announce but now I'm going to have to step back because LSU is a great place.
"It's hard to explain but it's just a different environment, different culture out there. SEC football is like a religion and you can really feel the difference between football in the south from out west. I really liked the environment, the campus, the city itself, I liked everything about the visit."
Willis said he was very comfortable with the coaches and the players and that added to the strong visit.
"Coach Miles is a great guy, he's really funny," Willis said. "He told a lot of funny stories and I'm really comfortable with him. I also spent a lot of time with Coach Raymond, the DB coach. I've known him for along time because he was recruiting me at Nebraska before he came over to LSU last year.
"The players all took me in and treated me great. Everyone says it but they made me feel like I was part of the team already. It's a big family there at LSU and everyone gets along real well. Another plus is they lose some defensive backs and Coach Miles said he has no problem playing freshmen. The best players will play if you're ready and I have no problem competing anywhere I go."
The original plan for Willis was to announce his commitment at the Under Armour All-American game January 4 but that might be put on hold.
"I really don't know now," Willis said. "Right now, I can't even think about where I'm going, my head is still spinning a little. I know it's two weeks away so it could still happen or I could take one more visit after the dead period in January.
"I'm just going to play it by ear and still plan to sit back with my family and talk things over. If I'm ready I'll do it but I'm not going to rush anything. I still like all the schools I visited plus Arizona State and UCLA. I visited both schools unofficially multiple times so I'm good with them. I don't have a leader, I'm still considering everyone and I'll use this dead period coming up to try and narrow things down if I can."
