UCLA Recruits at Semper Fi Bowl

A look at the UCLA commits and recruits playing in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Carson at the Home Depot Center...

The newest addition to the three major All-American games, the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, in its second year, will take place on Friday, January 4th at 6:00 p.m. Pacific on NFL Network.

Its also the lone All-American Game played in California, being held this year at the Home Depot Center in Carson, after being in Phoenix last year.

Last year, UCLA had just one player in the game, Justin Combs, but this year, there are a whole handful of UCLA commits, and several more recruits, playing in the Semper Fi Bowl.

Three Bruin commits are in the game, one from California and two from out of state.

Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe offensive tackle Kenny Lacy and Orange (Calif.) Lutheran offensive guard John Lopez are two of UCLA's seven offensive linemen commits playing in the game, and they'll both play for the West.

Fort Bend Marshall (Texas) linebacker Deon Hollins will play for the West as well, a chance to play near his future school.

Two of the Bruins' top receiver targets, Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep's Devon Allen and Long Beach (Calif.) Jordan's John Ross, are also on the West.

So is one of their top tight end targets, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei's Thomas Duarte.

Cornerback Johnny Johnson from Fresno (Calif.) Central is another one of UCLA's top targets playing in the game.

Tickets and parking for the Semper Fi Bowl are free.
