One of the older bowl games that has a heavy tilt towards the South and Southwest is the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl.
Offense/Defense All-American Game (December 30th, 7:00 PST, Comcast Sports, Direct TV Channel 696, Telecast time TBD)
The O-D Bowl will take place at Reliant Stadium in Houston on December 30th, at 5 p.m. PST and will be televised on Comcast Sports, Direct TV Channel 696, (Telecast time TBD), and while there isn't a ton of West Coast flavor to it, there are still a handful of prospects from the region playing in it, and it also includes two UCLA commits.
One of UCLA's top commits in the 2013 class is Katy (Texas) Seven Lakes offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch.
The Bruin verbal will be playing close to his Katy home in Houston, and is one of the two Bruin verbals on the squad.
And Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw athlete Mossi Johnson, a commit to UCLA, is also on the squad to play cornerback, one of the number of positions he can play.
San Diego (Calif.) Madison running back Pierre Cormier, a commit to Arizona, is also on the roster, and while he's a commit to the Wildcats, he told Scout this month that he'll visit UCLA officially in January.
Cormier helped lead Madison to the CIF State D-III championship earlier this month, and he'll look to end his career with another win.
