Johnson Feeling One School the Most

Fresno (Calif.) Central defensive back Johnny Johnson came in to the Semper Fidelis with a big reputation and after a sluggish start Monday, looked the part of an elite corner Tuesday...

Johnny Johnson is a pure lockdown corner with great feet and cover skills. He's a physical player, very aggressive and plays with a lot of swagger.

"I think I've had my moments and I've had some awful moments too," Johnson said. "It's all right, I'm learning and getting better. I'm still having a lot of fun being around these guys. There is some good receivers, John Ross has impressed me and the competition has been a lot of fun."

On the recruiting front, Johnson has taken just one visit and will take one more in January before making his decision.

"I'm going to UCLA (Jan. 18)," Johnson said. "I've already been to Washington and I'm still talking with the coaches there. I'm not talking to Stanford any more and UCLA is the school I'm feeling the most right now. I'm looking forward to that visit and I plan to make my decision shortly after that trip.

"A lot of people have asked why I haven't committed already but I'm just not ready. I'm one of those guys that once I commit, that will be it for me. I don't want to commit and then de-commit and look around. I want to be 100% sure and know in my heart that the school is right for me. I think after my trip to UCLA, I'll be ready and I'm going to wait it out until then."
