2014 QB Looks Good at Combine

One of the top quarterbacks in the West region next year will be Novato (Calif.) San Marin's Manny Wilkins. Wilkins attended the Junior Rank Combine in Carson, California last weekend and had a very good performance...

Manny Wilkins had a breakout performance at the Elite 11 Regional camp and NIKE Camp last May. He has good size, a live, accurate arm, above average mobility and a commanding presence to him that should see him recruited at the high major Div I level this spring.

"The whole combine was fun, I had a good time," Wilkins said. "I thought I did well and after the combine, I got a message to call Angus McClure at UCLA and talked to him for a while. UCLA is a really good school, they have a good season and it's in a beautiful area so I definitely have interest in them.

"I'm also hearing from the rest of the Pac 12 plus Wisconsin and Utah State right now and a few others. I plan to go to a lot of camps but I'm still trying to figure out my schedule and decide which schools I want to go to. I know I'll be at the NIKE Camp again but other than that, I still need to figure out the rest."

Greg Biggins has been covering recruiting for over 15 years, covering the West since the mid-1990's and currently serves as a national analyst for Scout.com/FOXSportsNext.
