"I'm very excited," Badet said. "I've been talking to them from before, but Coach Steve Broussard offered me this morning. Right now, Kentucky would still be my leader, but UCLA would probably be number two right behind them."
The 5-11, 175-pound Badet is scheduled to officially visit UCLA next weekend. He's connected to another UCLA recruit, quarterback Asiantii Woulard, who played with Badet during their sophomore year in high school. Woulard just finished his official visit to UCLA today, and he texted Badet during the weekend that the coaches couldn't stop talking about the receiver.
"I'd say I'm kind of a slot receiver type," Badet said. "I can take a five-yard hitch 60 yards to the end zone, and I'm quick off the line."
Badet, a three-star prospect, boasts offers from several programs, including North Carolina State, Boston College, and South Florida. He'll come into Westwood on Friday of next week.
