Morris Remains a Bruin

Memphis (Tenn.) East offensive tackle Christian Morris, after taking a couple of visits after his commitment to UCLA, makes the final decision for the Bruins on Wednesday...

Memphis (Tenn.) East offensive tackle Christian Morris was long thought to be the one piece of the UCLA recruiting class that might waver down the stretch.

Morris took a visit to Tennessee after his commitment to UCLA, and another visit to Ole Miss just this past weekend, and those two schools were thought to have some pull on him because of their proximity to his home.

But it turned out the pull of Westwood was greater, as Morris signed with UCLA Wednesday morning.

Morris is a four star offensive tackle who is ranked as the 20th best in the country. He represents another recruiting coup for offensive line coach Adrian Klemm, who went into the South to get several commitments this season.

The 6'6, 285 pound prospect figures to compete for playing time immediately, with open competition likely at both tackle spots this fall on the offensive line.

He joins a stellar offensive line class, which should include Morris, four star offensive tackle Poasi Moala, four star offensive guard Caleb Benenoch, four star offensive guard Alex Redmond, four star offensive tackle Kenny Lacy, three star center Scott Quessenberry, and three star offensive guard John Lopez.
