Gardena (Calif.) Serra receiver Gregory Webb (6-1, 190), had been to UCLA during the summer, for the Bruins' summer camp, but on Saturday, Webb was one of a handful of prospects on campus for an unofficial visit.

"It was a great experience," said Webb. "I'd been there before for a camp, but it was my first time really touring the campus. I talked a lot with Coach (Adrian) Klemm and Coach Yarbs (Eric Yarber)."

Webb had seen some of the facilities before, but the tour allowed a closer look.

"They were showing me the facilities and telling us about the brand new football facilities they're going to be getting," said Webb. "It was a really fun experience. The coaches are great coaches. They talked so much about the education and how it's more important than football. Coach (Jim) Mora is doing an excellent job. We had some small talk with Coach Mora."

Webb doesn't have any offers yet, but said UCLA is showing a good deal of interest.

"Coach Klemm is the one recruiting me and he said they're going to keep watching me this spring. I'll be going to their camp again," said Webb.

Aside from the Bruins, Webb is hearing from Utah, Nebraska, Washington State and Oregon.

"I'm going to play safety this year, but receiver is my main position and what most schools are recruiting me for," said Webb.

Webb said he will also be attending the SoCal NFTC and is playing with the Frat Boyz on the 7on7 circuit.

Academically, he has a 3.0 and will take the SAT in the spring.

Brandon is in his ninth year with Scout.com and FOXSportsNext, currently as a National Recruiting Analyst and West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout Network since 2003.
