Quick Is Wide Open

The Fresno (Calif.) Central receiver, Michiah Quick, is wide open in his recruiting process and is hearing a lot from a teammate, who's headed to UCLA...

Fresno (Calif.) receiver Michiah Quick (6-0, 175), the nation's top ranked-prospect at that position, has offers from around the country.

But it wasn't until Sunday that USC joined the fray for the five-star.

"I was walking around at Junior Day and Coach (Ed) Orgeron said to me that he wanted to know I had an offer," said Quick. "I was pretty excited about that."

Quick said he spent time talking with receivers coach Tee Martin, and the Trojans like him on offense.

"They want me as a receiver, but they also want to use me as a returner for punts and kickoffs," said Quick. "I could play corner too if they needed me there."

Quick's teammate, Tashon Smallwood, was also offered by the Trojans on Sunday, and while Smallwood committed, Quick isn't in any rush to make a choice.

"Nah, I am not close to deciding anywhere," said Quick. "Talking with my teammates, I'm going to go through the whole process and make sure I take all my visits."

Quick's offers include ones from Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA and Washington among others, and two teammates signed with Oklahoma this month and one with UCLA.

"L.J. (Moore) and Hatari (Byrd) are both working on me for Oklahoma every day," said Quick. "Johnny (Johnson) is working on me for UCLA too."

But Quick said he didn't have a favorite.

"I'm open to everyone right now," said Quick. "I just want to go through every thing."

Quick will be playing in Las Vegas next weekend at the NLA 7on7 with DB Guru.
