But there remain some elusive offers for the West's top back.
One of those, USC, joined the mix and became the 36th school to offer Mixon, doing so at their Junior Day on Sunday.
"I went in to Junior Day thinking I was going to get an offer, and at about 4 p.m., I didn't have one from them," said Mixon. "Then at like 4:15, Coach (Lane) Kiffin pulled me aside. He said that they were only bringing in one running back this class and they want that running back to me. Then he said they were offering me a scholarship."
Mixon said the offer left a big impression on him.
"Oh man, I was juiced for that one," said Mixon. "I'd been waiting on an offer from them but didn't know when it might come."
Mixon got to meet USC's newly named running backs coach, Tommie Robinson, while at USC.
"Coach Robinson is a cool dude," said Mixon. "He's still trying to get to know some people, and he had gotten in like at 7 p.m. the night before, but you could tell he's ready to get it done."
Mixon also enjoyed what he saw on the USC campus.
"The campus is a big old campus, and we saw the Trojan statue and that was cool," said Mixon.
Mixon said there are still a few schools he's interested in that haven't offered, but thinks could join the fray.
In the near future, Mixon wants to begin trimming his list.
