NLA 7on7: Day 1 Recruiting Notes, #2

We have more recruiting buzz from the first day of the Las Vegas New Level Athletics ELite 7on7...

*Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe athlete Jalen Brown will head out to Los Angels next weekend and visit UCLA and USC. Brown added he wants to get out to the Midwest and South and see some schools and mentioned Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Michigan and Ohio State as a few possibilities. He's hoping to cut his list down to 10 or 15 by the end of the summer and wants to take all five of his official visits in the fall.

*Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco corner Naijiel Hale said Nebraska stands out among his favorites due to his relationship with the coaches and passionate fan base. Hale said USC also moved up his list after his Junior Day experience two weeks ago.

*Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive back Jaleel Wadood took in Arizona State's Junior Day two weeks ago and said it solidified his commitment to the Sun Devils. Wadood will still take his visits and said he would like to check out Notre Dame, Oregon, Boise State and Nebraska.

*Long Beach Jordan (Calif.) wide out Rahshead Johnson said he's still very solid in his commitment to Washington. He still plans to take some official visits in the fall and said he's still hearing from Oregon State, San Jose State, Washington State, Nebraska and Wisconsin and all have offered.

*West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade athlete Donovan Lee attended USC's Junior Day and will visit Colorado for the Buffs Junior Day. He's also hoping to visit Oregon in the summer and said he's also hearing from UCLA and Nebraska.

*La Mirada (Calif.) tight end Tyler Luatua said he has heard the rumors that he's locked for Alabama or USC but said he's keeping his options to everyone. The two are very high on his list and the tight end also mentioned Michigan, Ohio State and Florida on his short list. He'll visit ‘Bama for the Tide spring's game.

*Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic receiver Kaelin Deboskie picked up his first offer from New Mexico State Thursday. Arizona and SMU are also showing interest and the ‘Cats are the dream school for Deboskie.

*Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic receiver Cameron Denson said his commitment to Arizona is solid and it will take a lot for any program to steal him from the Cats. Denson said he may still take some visits and is hearing from Oregon State, Arizona State and UCLA at this time.

*Fontana (Calif.) Summit receiver Erik Brown picked up offers last week from Nevada and Houston and is hearing from California, Washington, Boise State, BYU, Arizona State and UCLA. Brown said ASU, BYU and Cal could be close to offering as well.

*Novato (Calif.) Marin quarterback Manny Wilkins is still waiting for his first offer but is hearing from Arizona State, Oregon, Washington, Utah State, Nevada, UCLA and Cal. Wilkins will attend ASU's Junior Day, Washington's Rising Stars Camp and UCLA's Quarterback Camp.

*Inglewood (Calif.) receiver Zaire Andre picked up a recent offer from Houston and is also hearing from UCLA, Washington, Washington State and Cal. Andre will unofficially Cal in March and camp with UCLA over the summer.

*Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco sophomore quarterback Josh Rosen has an offer from Fresno State and will camp at UCLA, Cal and Stanford over the summer. The three in-state programs are the current leaders for Rosen right now.

*Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco receiver Shay Fields landed his first offer from Nevada Thursday. Fields plans to visit ASU and will camp with UCLA and Cal. Fresno State and Utah are also showing heavy interest and the Bulldogs and Sun Devils are the current leaders.

*Diamond Bar (Calif.) sophomore receiver Cordell Broadus has early offers from UCLA, Washington and Duke and said Florida State and Tennessee are showing heavy interest. He plans to camp with Washington and UCLA in the summer and said he'll go through the process and take his visits before committing anywhere.
