Jackson (Kent.) 22 Feet Academy forward Mikyle McIntosh has seen his recruitment take off in recent weeks, with UCLA offering and bringing him in on an official visit last week.

Suffice to say, McIntosh, 6'8, 200, was suitably impressed with Westwood.

"Oh, he loved the visit," his coach Ro Russell said. "He really enjoyed the basketball game against Arizona State, getting to know the coaches, touring the campus, just everything. I think it gave him a lot to think about."

The forward has had some leg injuries over the past couple of years, which Russell attributes to the strength and fire with which McIntosh plays.

"He just plays so hard, and with so much energy, that he sometimes gets himself hurt," Russell said. "So he has a few nagging things, but they come from trying to do so much on the court."

McIntosh has the build of a forward, but according to Russell, can play anywhere from one through four, with power forward actually being least likely, except in special circumstances.

"He's very skilled," Russell said. "He can shoot, dribble, pass, defend, whatever you need him to do. He could definitely play some point at the next level."

McIntosh did not commit on the spot, however, and is planning on taking some more visits, with potential trips to Oregon, Miami, and Connecticut all on the horizon.

"UCLA has offered," Russell said. "And I think those other ones have too."

As for a decision time, Russell said that it'll be dependent on when McIntosh finishes up his visits, but that he'll likely make his decision by early April.
