Cobb Interested in Bruins

UCLA is watching the Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian linebacker, Jamardre Cobb...

Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian linebacker Jamardre Cobb (6-2, 220), has double-digit offers, with a couple of big national offers coming in the last couple weeks.

"I've gotten offers recently from Ohio State, Oklahoma and Houston," said Cobb. "I was shocked when Ohio State offered but my mom was really happy."

South Carolina has also offered Cobb, one of the few schools recruiting him as much on offense as on defense.

"South Carolina is recruiting me as a running back and linebacker," said Cobb. "But everyone else is recruiting me as a linebacker. They like me at outside and inside but outside is what I want to play."

A few more Pac-12 schools are showing interest in Cobb, and he's hopeful an offer will be following.

"I'm hearing from USC, Washington, UCLA and Oregon," said Cobb. "Hopefully in spring they offer."

For now, Cobb is staying wide open.

"I don't have any favorites, I want to weigh my options, go through the process and take some trips," said Cobb. "I want to wait and see which schools offer before I make my decision."

This weekend, Cobb said he'll be at the Los Angeles NFTC.
