The anxiety turned into excitement on Sunday, when the four-star earned DL MVP honors and an invitation to The Opening.
"I couldn't sleep (Saturday night), I was thinking about it so much," said Taua. "I was so happy I got it and it was a blessing. It was definitely worth coming down here and now I just have got to go home and keep training and getting better this offseason."
Taua has a number of offers, but three schools are standing out to him right now.
Taua doesn't anticipate dragging out his recruitment either.
"I kind of want to cut it short and get a decision out of the way," said Taua. "There are only a few schools around that I really like and that really like me and I appreciate what they see in me. Whoever comes later, I don't know if its enough time for them."
Taua said he'd like to take an unofficial visit to Ole Miss and Washington in the spring or summer and plans to visit UCLA for their spring practice.
Taua said he's got the spot in college he wants to play picked out.
"I want to go in as a nose guard or 3-tech and work hard for the coaches and my team," said Taua.
