Palmdale (Calif.) running back Demario Richard (5-9, 200), was one of the top performers at the Los Angeles NFTC over the weekend, his first chance to showcase his skills this spring.

"It felt great being out there," said Richard. "I didn't drop any passes, I got a lot of reps and I did what a back is supposed to do. It was fun."

On the recruiting front, Richard got his fifth offer last week, an offer from Tennessee.

"Like they say, it's the AFC, NFC and SEC," said Richard. "The SEC is just like the NFL and that offer from Tennessee was big."

Richard said he thought Washington could be close to offering, and he's already holding four other offers.

"I've got my offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Nebraska and UCLA," said Richard. "Washington might be the next for me."

Richard is planning to camp in the Northwest in June and may also stay local for a camp.

"I'm going to camp at Oregon in June and then I'm going to Washington after for their camp and I may do the UCLA camp in June too," said Richard. "I also want to get out to Arizona and Arizona State."

Richard said he's not in a hurry to make a decision.

"It's still too early to tell a favorite or where I'm leaning," said Richard. "I'll know more after the spring."

As a junior, he ran for 1,722 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Brandon is in his ninth year with Scout.com and FOXSportsNext, currently as a National Recruiting Analyst and West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout Network since 2003.
