Bruins Make Mixon's Top 16

You know you have a big list of schools when ‘narrowing' it down means cutting it to 16. That's the case for Joe Mixon, who has a wide variety of schools on his list from all over the country.

"In no order, my final schools are California, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, UCLA, Washington, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oregon State, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arkansas, Clemson, Tennessee and USC," Mixon said. "I was going to do a top 15 but I couldn't decide so decided to keep it at 16.

"I just feel like I have the best connection with all these schools and their coaching staff so that's why I chose them. I would say Washington, Cal and Tennessee are the two that stand out in terms of how hard they're recruiting me but I don't have a short list right now, all of those schools are all in it equally."

Mixon has already visited Cal several times and USC for Junior Day and plans to check out a few more over the spring/summer.

"I want to try and get out to Ohio State," Mixon said. "I want to visit UCLA too since it's in-state. Ohio State will be unofficial or official but I know I'm going to visit there for sure. "As for official visits, I'm not sure where those will be yet. Right now, I just want to play things out and see how the season goes and who I'm feeling the most. I know I'll take all five for sure but I'm wide open to where those five will be right now."
