Carr Has Early Options

The Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian defensive back, Rodney Carr, has a few offers but is eager for more...

Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian athlete Rodney Carr (6-0, 187), owns four offers as he waits for more offers to materialize.

"I have four from Idaho, San Jose State, SMU and Houston," said Carr.

Carr is eager to land some Pac-12 offers too.

"There are some Pac-12 schools that are talking with me, and I think maybe Washington could offer," said Carr. "I'm also interested in USC, Arizona and UCLA."

Carr can play either safety or corner, and while safety is his more natural spot, corner is where most of the attention is coming from.

"Everyone is saying corner and I'm higher right now on the corner position," said Carr. "I'm looking forward to doing camps and playing more at the corner position. I like corner, but I also want coaches to know that I can play safety. Corner is coming as second nature but safety is more natural."

Carr was at the NLA Elite 7on7 and plans to get to the Oakland NFTC while also playing in several 7on7 tournaments this spring. In terms of college camps, he's hoping to go to a couple of Pac-12 camps.

"I think I'm going to try to go to the Washington Rising Stars Camp and maybe USC's Rising Stars Camp," said Carr.
