Dixon Has Double Digits

The Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure four-star tight end, Bryce Dixon, has double-digit offers but no named leader...

Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure tight end Bryce Dixon (6-4, 225), is in double digits for offers and more could come in when the eval period kicks in.

The four-star took an unofficial visit to Arizona State this week, and while the Sun Devils haven't offered, he's hoping they do.

"I came out to Arizona State with my coach and teammate (Davonte Nunnery), and we're going to take a visit and tour the school and meet with the coaches. Hopefully they offer me," said Dixon.

Texas A&M and Utah were the most recent schools to offer Dixon, who's been selected to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

"Besides Arizona State, Nebraska and Notre Dame could be close to offering me too," said Dixon. "I've got some other schools coming by when we start spring practice."

Dixon said though, it's too early to narrow a list down and name a favorite.

"No one is honestly standing out," said Dixon. "Actually, they all are. I don't have a favorite. I like all of the schools that have offered me and I like a few that haven't offered me yet."

Locally, Dixon has gone to Junior Days at both UCLA and USC, the only two unofficial visits he's taken this spring.

"UCLA's Junior Day was real nice. I met with Coach (Taylor) Mazzone and spent a lot of time with him talking about the offense," said Dixon. "They were one of my first offers and I went to their game against Arizona this year and had a real good time. I really like UCLA.

USC hasn't offered Dixon yet, but they stay in regular contact with him.

"USC's Junior Day was tight too, and it was cool to see all of their facilities and meet with the coaches," said Dixon.

Dixon is planning to go to the Oakland NFTC and said he may do a couple of college camps this summer.

Academically, Dixon has a 3.2 GPA and plans to take the SAT and ACT in the spring.
