And while his school isn't quite close to the beaten path, a number of them have indicated that they plan to come see him during the spring.
"My offers right now are from San Diego State, Arizona, Oregon State, Washington State and Rutgers," said Buck. "Washington said they're coming by and so has Boise State and Oregon, plus the schools that have offered."
Washington had Buck in town back in February.
"I went up to Washington for their Junior Day and it was really nice and a great place and a great atmosphere," said Buck. "Everything is surrounded by the college. I talked a lot with Coach (Peter) Sirmon and Coach (Jordan) Paopao. They want to come see me in the spring and they could offer."
"UCLA and Oklahoma have always been my favorite two schools and UCLA could possibly offer but I know they're going to come see me and I'll probably go to their camp too," said Buck. "Oregon and Boise State could too after they see me."
Buck said that three schools, though, were standing out.
"Probably Washington State, Arizona and San Diego State are standing out, but all about the same," said Buck. "I pretty much talk to everyone on the same kind of basis, so no one is recruiting me more than any other."
As for other camps, Buck isn't sure where else he'll camp, trying to balance his baseball schedule with camp plans.
He's visited San Diego State unofficially this spring.
"I went up to San Diego State to see their facilities and their spring game," said Buck. "I'm definitely interested in them."
Academically, Buck has a 3.4 and took the SAT earlier this month.
