"It was good there," said Blakley. "We watched practice and I love the way they run their offense. Our coaches went to their clinic last year and we're running the exact same offense as UCLA this season. They really use their tight end a lot."
After practice ended, Blakley spent time on campus, checking out all UCLA had to offer.
"We did a little tour of the campus, went by the library and the classrooms and got to see everything there," said Blakley. "It's a great campus, in a great location and everything is really nice there."
He also was able to spend some time with the UCLA coaches.
"We talked to some of the coaches as well," said Blakley. "They didn't offer me yet but they invited me to their camp. They're pretty familiar with me. We watched some film with Coach (Taylor) Mazzone and he knew about me and he said he's going to come watch me during spring practice."
Blakley said he was impressed with the football facilities.
"The football facilities are really nice," said Blakley. "They said they're building some brand new facilities just for football, and the ones now are already nice, so I can't imagine what the new ones will be like."
Blakley has four offers, from Washington, Idaho, Idaho State and Eastern Washington, and said more schools are showing interest.
"I'm starting to get a lot of interest from Vanderbilt, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Arkansas too," said Blakley. "I definitely think more offers will come in the spring because a lot of schools are going to stop by."
Blakley said he has definite plans to return to Westwood in June for the Bruins' camp. He'll also return to Washington for their Rising Stars Camp, where he earned an offer last summer, as well as the NW Elite Camp, where he was an MVP a year ago.
"I think I might possibly visit Boise State for their camp too," said Blakley.
Blakley has visited Washington unofficially this spring already, for a Husky spring practice, and said he's considering making a few more visits to some other schools later in the spring and into the summer.
Academically, Blakley has a 3.0 and will take the SAT later this spring.
