Pickett Weighs USC Offer

The El Cerrito (Calif.) four-star cornerback, Adarius Pickett, talks about landing a USC offer and more...

El Cerrito (Calif.) four-star cornerback Adarius Pickett had attended USC's Junior Day in February, but left Los Angeles without an offer.

Last Wednesday, the Trojans finally jumped on board.

"I called up USC and Coach (Lane) Kiffin offered me," said Pickett. "That's a real big offer for me."

New Trojan defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast is one of the coaches recruiting Pickett, and when Pendergast was at Cal, he signed off on an offer to Pickett with the Bears.

Now at USC, Pendergast is again on board with an offer to Pickett.

And the offer from USC pushes them up in to what was a top three.

"They're definitely in my top group now," said Pickett. "They're up there with Cal, UCLA and Arizona State."

Pickett is the second player from El Cerrito to get an offer from the Trojans, USC offering his teammate D.J. Calhoun last month.
