Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure 2015 offensive lineman Nick Capella (6-6, 250), is one of the top young linemen in the West in his class.

An all-Marmonte League pick as a sophomore the Seraphs, Capella is starting to hear from a few schools.

"I've heard some from Oregon and also Cal, UCLA and Stanford," said Capella. "I'm going to visit Oregon in the summer and I'm signed up for their camp."

Capella is part of another strong crop at St. Bonaventure, and with Scout 300 tight end Bryce Dixon and sophomore quarterback Ricky Town already boasting offers, Capella figures schools will be making frequent stops this spring.

"I'm hoping to get some actual looks and maybe some offers this spring," said Capella. "I'm hoping when schools come to check out Ricky and Bryce, they check me out."

Capella said he's open to going anywhere, but California would be his first preference.

"I'd love to stay in California, so Cal, UCLA or Stanford would be great," said Capella. "But honestly, I'll go anywhere. I just want to play football and get a good education."

Academically, Capella is carrying a 3.5 in honors classes and plans to take the ACT this spring and the SAT next fall.

"I enjoy school and academics so that will be really important for me when I choose a school," said Capella.

Capella played right tackle last fall for St. Bonaventure, but plans to switch to left this year.

"I think coaches like me as a left tackle more, so I'm moving back to the left side this year," said Capella. "Coaches like my length. I'm 250 right now, but I want to be at least 265 by the start of the year and I want to be 280 by the end of my senior year, an athletic 280. I'm still skinny but I want to fill out."

Brandon is in his ninth year with Scout.com and FOXSportsNext, currently as a National Recruiting Analyst and West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout Network since 2003.
