La Mirada (Calif.) tight end Tyler Luatua was on campus at UCLA Saturday for a photo shoot and a trip to UCLA's first full contact practice of the spring. Even though he was on campus for practice, he four star said that three other schools are recruiting him hardest right now.

"Right now, Washington, Michigan, and Oklahoma are recruiting me the hardest," Luatua said. "They're the only schools I've been talking to recently."

Luatua's recruitment at UCLA was originally being handled by Taylor Mazzone, since he was scheduled to be the inside receivers coach, but now there's been a chance.

"Coach Yarber from UCLA messaged me wanting me to call him a little while ago," Luatua said. "He's been messaging me, and before that it was Coach Mazzone."

Even thought three other schools are recruiting him harder, Luatua still sounded high on the Bruins.

"I like them because they use their tight ends a lot," Luatua said. "The school's also really nice. They've told me they want me to go to one of their camps in June and also want me to come to the spring game and some of their practices."

Luatua, who says he's about 6'3, 240, headed over to Spaulding after the photo shoot to take in practice. The prospect said that he wants to make his decision before the season starts so that he can play his senior year with a clear head.

For now, with around 30 offers to his credit, Luatua is just trying to sift through and make an informed decision. He recently added one more school to his list in Missouri, who offered him recently.

Luatua reports a 3.0 GPA and plans to take the SAT and ACT this May.
