"It was great, I liked it a lot there," Riggins said. "That was their first day in pads and they had a scrimmage. I got to talk with Coach Broussard, the running backs coach and we talked about the recruiting process.
"He said they like me a lot and could offer soon. They're going to come out and see me when we start spring practice and always want me to camp with them. He said he's going to push for me to get an offer if I do well during spring ball or at their camp. They're recruiting me as an F-Back, the position Steven Manfro plays and I think that would be a good fit for me."
Riggins will check out several other Pac-12 programs this spring and summer.
‘I'm going to Utah's Junior Day April 20," Riggins said. "I talk to (Utah coach) Brian Johnson a lot and I'm looking forward to getting out there and getting a feel for the staff and the program.
"The next weekend, I'm going to Oregon State. I'm looking forward to meeting the staff there as well. I wanted to do their Junior Day but I had a commitment so I'm just taking an unofficial visit on my own. I'm also hearing from Colorado, Washington, Washington State and Boston College and just waiting for that first BCS offer to roll in."
Riggins said he'll be active on the camp circuit.
"Along with the UCLA camp, I'm going to camp with Utah and Colorado and maybe Oregon State," Riggins said. "Utah and Colorado are doing camps out here in Southern Cal and Oregon State is as well. I think once that first big offer comes in from the Pac-12, a few others could follow soon after.
"A lot of people have told me that colleges follow each other so that's what I'm hoping for. I do want to take my time with the process and do my visits. I probably won't do an official visit to UCLA because it's so close but would like to check out Washington, Oregon State, Utah and then probably a school outside the region like Boston College.
