Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive back Jaleel Wadood (5-11, 165), has been committed to Arizona State for months.

But Wadood took a visit to UCLA over the weekend to check out the Bruins' spring practice.

"It was great watching the practice with my dad," said Wadood. "I'm loving watching D-I practice tempo. I didn't talk with any of the coaches though."

Yet Wadood remains solidly committed to Arizona State, and even conversations with the coaches wouldn't have changed much.

"It's kind of crazy that I have received offers from every Pac-12 school except for the two from my home town," said Wadood. "I guess I'm not what they're looking for. But I'm all Arizona State anyway."

Wadood said he plans to visit a few other Pac-12 schools, with a return trip to Tempe in the plans.

"I'll be visiting other schools," said Wadood. "Oregon, California and Utah and I will definitely be visiting Arizona State as well."

In fact, he may be in Tempe this weekend.

"We're supposed to be playing in the B2G 7on7 Tournament this weekend and we are playing in the IMG Tournament in May at Redondo," said Wadood about the Snoop Dogg All-Stars he plays for. "But I think I'm going to Arizona State's Spring Game this weekend."
