Town to Visit UCLA Again

Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure sophomore quarterback Ricky Town took an unofficial visit to UCLA last weekend and will be back in Westwood this weekend...

Ricky Town was an all-state underclass pick last season after throwing for 2,500 yards and 22 touchdowns while completing almost 70% of his passes. His poise and pocket presence really sets him a part and his feel for the position is well advanced for the high school level.

"I went to UCLA's spring practice last Saturday and it was awesome," Town said. "I really had a great time there. I got to talk to Coach Mora a lot at the practice and further build our relationship.

"I also spent a lot of time with both of the Mazzone's and watched and listened to the offense in their perspective. I've been talking to both coaches but I probably talk more with Taylor Mazzone now that he's the QB coach. It was really a great experience and I'm going back tomorrow (Saturday) to visit again."

UCLA along with Miami have already offered and Town said Arizona State, Arizona and Washington could all offer as well in September when official offers can go out for juniors.

"I want to camp with Stanford in June and I plan to visit Alabama as well," Town said. "I'm excited to see Alabama, I've never been there before and I want to visit California and Arizona as well. I grew up near Berkeley and have always liked Cal a lot. I'll also attend the UCLA QB Camp in the summer.

"I've been to Arizona State but have never been to UA so I think it would be cool to visit there and check out their campus. Right now, I'm just open to everyone and really enjoying the process. I want to see what other schools offer me and I don't have a time frame for making a decision, it's still early for me since I'm just a sophomore."
