Tyler Dorsey, 6-4 SO SG Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco, is one of the elite prospects in the West Coast class of 2015. A gifted scorer, Dorsey has above average ball skills and good size for his position.

I spoke with Dorsey recently and asked about the schools that came in to see him last week.

"I had UCLA and Michigan come to see me at my school," said Dorsey.

When asked for his impressions of the new staff at UCLA, Dorsey replied, "I'm just getting to know them, but I like the staff they brought in there."

Dorsey has a number of top programs from across the country recruiting him.

"I'm also hearing from Arizona, UConn, Florida, Louisville, Oregon State and USC."

I asked Dorsey for his impressions of the new staff at USC.

"I know some of their assistants really well and like them," said Dorsey.

Dorsey talked a little about the factors that will influence his choice.

"I want to play for a coach that lets us get up and down," said Dorsey. "The location doesn't really matter too much right now."

Dorsey visited Cal, San Jose State and Stanford during a trip last year. I asked if he plans on visiting any other schools in the near future.

"I'll probably go over to UCLA and USC to check things out," said Dorsey.

Dorsey said he's in no hurry to choose a school.

"I'll probably decide later in my senior year," said Dorsey.

Dorsey said he has a 3.5 GPA.
