Roseville (Calif.) Oakmont receiver Justin Holmes (6-4, 205), is still waiting for his first offer, but Holmes is doing his part to get his name out.

Holmes ventured down from Northern California over the weekend, participating in the B2G 7on7 tournament, but first, taking in a practice at UCLA.

"UCLA was great, I had a great time," said Holmes. "I can't tell you how much I loved the campus. It's a beautiful, beautiful place."

Holmes got a chance to meet with Angus McClure, who recruits NorCal for UCLA.

"Coach McClure is the scout for my area," said Holmes. "He told me that he looks forward to seeing me when he comes through in spring time. He said he definitely thinks I'm a D-I athlete and wants me to come to their Elite Camp, and they'll evaluate me and see if they want to offer."

After UCLA, Holmes went over to Fullerton College for the B2G 7on7 tournament, then returned home on Saturday evening. Sunday, he was at the FBU Camp in NorCal.

"I got the offensive MVP at the FBU Camp," said Holmes. "It was a good weekend."

Holmes said Utah is talking to him consistently.

"I'm very interested in Utah and hoping they offer me in the summertime," said Holmes. "I plan to visit there and some other schools on the West Coast."

Holmes' next camp will be the Oakland NFTC next month.
