And with schools set to stop by Bellevue frequently this spring, more could make their way to three-star.
"My four are from Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado State and Washington State," said Griffin. "A lot of other schools like California, Arizona State, USC, UCLA and Oregon State, really a lot of others, are talking to me and once things pick up this spring, I think there will be more offers rolling in."
Washington State, though, sits in a good position for Griffin.
"I've taken two unofficial visits to Washington State and I just love Pullman," said Griffin. "I thought it was a great vibe there and I love Coach (Mike) Leach and I love his game plan. There are a lot of good things there building."
Griffin said he came pretty close to committing to the Cougars, but held off.
"I was pretty tempted, I'm not going to lie," said Griffin. "I just had to stay grounded and talk with my parents. I want to take a few more trips before I pull the trigger. I talked about it with Coach Leach, and I told him that if I do commit, I want to take all my visits and he said I should, because he said he wants to make sure this is the right school for me."
Griffin is originally from Southern California, he lived in Palm Springs for much of his childhood, but said he's becoming a fan of the Northwest.
"I actually liked Oregon growing up, but I'm really liking it up here and I really liked Washington State," said Griffin. "I'm hoping to visit UCLA and USC this summer. I'm interested in them too. Myles Jack told me a lot about UCLA."
Griffin is being recruited primarily for defense, but said a few have inquired about his interest on offense.
"A couple like me as a center and guard but it's mainly as a defensive tackle. I love defense but I'm open to both sides of the ball," said Griffin. "A lot of coaches have asked me if I'm a legit 6-3, and want to make sure I'm not 5-10. I think when they see me when they come by, they'll see I'm a legit 6-3, and that could get me some more offers. I want to play defensive tackle, defensive end, either 5-tech or 3-tech."
Griffin plans to do a few camps this summer.
"I'm doing the Oregon NFTC and I'll be at the NW Elite Camp at Mercer Island and the NEI Showcase too," said Griffin.
Academically, Griffin has a 3.1 GPA and will take the ACT and SAT both later this spring.
