2014 Long Beach (Calif.) Poly small forward Kameron Chatman was in Los Angeles with his ICP Elite AAU team over the weekend to play in the Nike EYBL.
The four-star recruit has a long list of offers but is starting to distinguish who is standing out.
"Just watching them play I felt that they're winning teams and I felt that I can come in and fit their programs," he explained. "So I cut it down to teams that will help me and fit me the most."
Chatman says Washington, Oregon, and Michigan are recruiting him the hardest which in turn is allowing him to forge a close relationship with the respective staffs. It's an element Chatman says is very important to him in the recruiting process and in his future. "Mostly a relationship with coach," Chatman said when asked what he's looking for most in a college program.
Rumors are swirling about Chatman possibly favoring Washington at the moment, asked about those rumors he smiled and laid them to rest saying has a good relationship with Coach [Lorenzo] Romar and Coach [Jim] Shaw, but that he's still open.
Chatman currently has no visits scheduled, but says he's certain he'll take a few over the summer.
*Editors Note: The eighth school on Chatman's list is Georgetown.
