Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive end Malik Dorton (6-3, 235), took in UCLA's Spring Game on Saturday at the Rose Bowl.

"I liked what I saw and it was a pretty cool time," said Dorton.

Dorton caught up with defensive line coach Angus McClure, as well as running backs coach Steve Broussard, who recruits his school.

"I had seen them early and they're going to come by the school when we start workouts," said Dorton.

Dorton, who was a lean to UCLA earlier in the spring, has maintained of late that he's open.

"UCLA is definitely still up there, but I don't really have a top five and I probably wont until I narrow it down before the season," said Dorton.

Dorton has already had coaches from Texas Tech, Miami, Washington and San Diego State come by.

"And we have a lot more coming too," said Dorton. "We start spring practice on May 6. USC is going to come by and UCLA and I think Oklahoma is too."

In fact, Dorton said the Sooners could be next to offer.

"I think Oklahoma is the closest or Miami," said Dorton.

Nebraska was the most recent offer for Dorton.

"Coach (Rich) Fister stopped by the school and Nebraska offered me," said Dorton.

Dorton said the only camp plans he has this summer is the one day of USC's Rising Stars Camp.
