Soesman Gets More Interest

UCLA is taking a long look at the Clovis (Calif.) Buchanan safety, Adam Soesman, who was at the Spring Game on Saturday...

Clovis (Calif.) Buchanan safety Adam Soesman (6-2, 185), is up to a half dozen offers, and with the evaluation period in full swing, and coaches planning to stop by, more schools could be joining the fray.

"I have six offers from Houston, San Jose State, Oregon State, Washington State, Fresno State and Arizona State," said Soesman. "Arizona State was my most recent offer. Coach (Todd) Graham called me and offered me. That felt good to get it from him."

Arizona State has been by the school this spring, Fresno State and Cal have as well, and Washington State and UCLA are expected by.

UCLA had Soesman at the Rose Bowl on Saturday for their Spring Game.

"I really liked it there," said Soesman. "It was a good game and I liked their stadium. I hope to be back down and meet with the coaches for an unofficial visit. I've been talking with Coach (Jeff) Ulbrich and he wants me to come back down. I didn't get to talk with him at the spring game, but I talked with Coach (Demetrice) Martin and I really liked him and he said he's looking forward to talking to me more. They like me as a safety."

Soesman plans to camp at UCLA and at Cal as well.

"Both Cal and UCLA want me at their camps, and if I do well there, I could get an offer from them both," said Soesman. "So I'm planning to do them."

Soesman will camp at the Oakland NFTC next month, and is also doing track for Buchanan.

Academically, he has a 3.3 and will take the SAT on May 4.
