Lee Gets Good News

Redlands (Calif.) running back Craig Lee was one the key commitments in UCLA's 2013 recruiting class. Unfortunately Lee wasn't able to sign back in February with the rest of the class due to academic reasons but received the news he had been waiting for on Wednesday...

Craig Lee was one of the top backs in the West last year in what was a very strong year at the position. He was an early commit to UCLA but although he had met NCAA qualifying standards, needed a higher test score to qualify for UCLA.

Lee took the SAT and most recently the ACT and just received his test score this week.

"I'm good to go, I scored high enough to get in to UCLA," Lee said. "I'm so happy right now, I can't even tell you. I feel like it's a big weight off my back but I know I still need to finish my last semester strong. I'm going to stay hungry, I'm not going to put all this work in passing the test and then not get it done in my last semester.

"I'm very excited though, I put a lot of hard work in and to have it pay off is huge for me. I can't wait to get to UCLA, I'm going to be ready to go. My motto is always been stay ready so you don't have to get ready and that's how I feel right now. I'm ready to go and get in there and make an impact."

Lee finished his senior season with 1,787 yards and 20 touchdowns, while averaging over nine yards per carry. He was ranked a 4 star recruit and the No. 26 back in the nation by Scout.com.
