Richard visited Arizona State back in March and the Sun Devils have been a consistent leader ever since.
"I loved it there," Richard said. "It was a beautiful place but the main thing I liked about it was just how comfortable I was there. It felt like home and that's what I'm looking for in a school right now. I did everything on my visit, toured the campus, met with the coaches, watched film, it was a great experience and that's definitely my top school right now."
"I have a solid top three right now of ASU, UCLA and Washington in that order and I'm also looking at Oregon and Tennessee. I'm going to visit Washington and Oregon next month so that will be big. ASU leads but I'm still open to other school. Oregon was way up there but I'm little worried about possible sanctions. It will be good to go up there and talk to the coaches and I'm excited to see UW as well."
Richard has set his announcement date for later in the year.
"I'm planning to make my commitment December 2, which is my birthday," Richard said. "I'm going to have to take my official visits during the season but that's fine because that's what I wanted to do anyway. I should be able to get in two or three at least and then I'll be ready to make my decision."
