Wright: Two Schools are "Up There"

Namon Wright, the elite 6-4 wing from Los Angeles Pacific Hills, told Scout.com that UCLA and Arizona are "up there" for him...

Namon Wright, the 6-4 wing from Los Angeles (Calif.) Pacific Hills, is known as one of the more competitive kids on the west coast and his recent decision to transfer to Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep only reinforces that notion.

"The main reason I decided to go to Findlay was because of the competition," Wright said. "I really want to start as a freshman in college and going to a place like Findlay where a ton of other really good players are should really improve me. I also think I will get a lot stronger there."

While Wright has been busy deciding where he will attend high school next season, he hasn't given much thought to his college plans, and wouldn't clearly name any favorites.

"Nothing has changed too much in my recruitment," Wright said. "UCLA and Arizona are up there while Gonzaga and Florida State are now involved."

Wright said he he could visit Arizona.

"They want me to get down there for a visit soon," Wright said. "But I'm pretty busy this summer, so we'll see how everything works out."

The programs recruiting Wright will probably have to be patient for a decision.

"I could see myself deciding by the end of the summer," Wright said. "If not, I will probably decide before the season starts. "I'm not going to make a decision until I take my visits and those aren't going to happen anytime soon."
