Bruins Still Watching Lazarus

The Berkeley (Calif.) linebacker, Michael Lazarus, talks about his time frame in the process...

Berkeley (Calif.) linebacker Michael Lazarus (6-2, 201), was one of the top performers on defense at the Oakland NFTC on Sunday.

"I felt I did pretty good," said Lazarus. "I took a lot of reps and I was tired, but I thought I did good."

Lazarus has had a slew of schools coming through Berkeley this spring and he's got four offers right now.

"Arizona State, Cal, Washington State and Fresno State have all offered me," said Lazarus. "And I think Mississippi State is getting in the picture."

Lazarus said that Washington, USC and UCLA have all been pretty aggressive in recruiting him too, with good relationships with all the coaches.

And now he's eager to grab some more offers.

"I won't name a favorite until the rest of the offers roll in," said Lazarus. "I don't want to put anyone out yet."

Lazarus said the next order of business is deciding where he'll camp.

"I'm trying to finish out the school year and the spring and then I may set up my camps and which schools I'm going to visit," said Lazarus.

Brandon is in his ninth year with Scout.com and FOXSportsNext, currently as a National Recruiting Analyst and West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout Network since 2003.
