Cameron Walker, 6-7 SO PF/SF Santa Maria (Calif.) Righetti, is a skilled forward that could end playing the three or four in college depending on how his body goes. Right now, I think he projects more of a four, but it's still an open question.

I spoke with Walker at the Magic Memorial Day Festival and asked about the schools that have been recruiting him to date.

"Cal, San Diego State, Stanford, UC Irvine, Cal Poly, Fresno State, UCLA, San Jose St., Rice and Oregon State," said Walker.

Walker said all but UCLA and Stanford have offered scholarships.

Walker said he has been to San Diego State, Cal Poly, UCI, Fresno State and Stanford for unofficial visits.

"I'm going to UCLA on Monday," said Walker. "My dad has been talking to Coach Grace and they wanted me to come visit. I know Coach Grace from Oregon State and I like him. He's a really good guy and a supportive coach."

I asked Walker what he's looking for in a school.

"The academics are big," said Walker. "I'd prefer to stay in the west, but I'll go east. I want a good basketball program overall and a good relationship with my coaches."

When asked if he has a time frame in mind for picking a school, Walker replied, "I kind of want to decide early and get it over with."

Walker said he has a 4.0 GPA.
