Lasley Hopes for UCLA Offer

The more you see Gardena (Calif.) Serra athlete Jordan Lasley the more obvious it is that he's among the top wide receiver prospects in the west region.

Jordan Lasley has had a very good spring, impressing at every event he has played in. He was the wide receiver MVP runner-up at the SoCal NIKE Camp and had several dominant showings for B2G's 5 Star squad on the 7-on-7 circuit.

At 6-1, 185 pounds, Lasley has a nice frame, runs very well and is extremely quick in and out of his breaks. He flashes very good hands, catching everything away from his body and he can turn and get up the field without having to fight the ball.

On the recruiting front, things have picked up for Lasley as well. He's now up to seven scholarship offers with one school in particular standing out.

"Indiana is my most recent offer and I'm still learning more about them," Lasley said. "I picked up Nevada and Boise State last week and also have Utah, San Jose State, Colorado State and San Diego State.

"Of those schools, Boise State is really standing out to me right now. I didn't realize what a powerhouse program they were until I got the offer and read more about them. Jalen (Greene) told me they've only lost five or six games over the last five years. That's my quarterback right there and we're very good friends. The fact that he's going to Boise State will definitely impact my decision."

Lasley plans to be active on the summer camp front as well and is hopeful of landing a local offer.

"I'm going to camp with USC, UCLA, Oregon State and San Jose State," Lasley said. "Right now, my plan is to go through the recruiting process and I don't want to make an early decision. I would like to take all my visits and then decide as late as I can.

"I'm really hoping for that UCLA offer, though. They're recruiting me but said they want to see me in camp and, if I do well, I could get the offer. I really can't say if that will speed up my decision or not but that would be a big one for me."
