Holmes Hopes to Camp with Bruins

The Roseville (Calif.) Oakmont receiver, Justin Holmes, is hoping to camp with the Bruins...

Roseville (Calif.) Oakmont receiver Justin Holmes (6-4, 205), went to the Oakland NFTC fresh off getting his first offer the night before.

"Sacramento State offered me (the night before), so it definitely took the mental block off and I felt a lot more confident," said Holmes.

That confidence boosted Holmes, who would end up winning WR MVP honors in a very strong group of receivers at the camp.

"Winning the MVP felt amazing," said Holmes. "It let me know what I'm doing is working and I can be so much better."

A few days after winning the MVP award, the fourth camp this spring Holmes was named an MVP at, San Jose State gave Holmes his first FBS offer.

"That meant a lot to me," said Holmes. "I was so excited about that offer."

Several schools stopped in to see Holmes this spring.

"We've had a lot of schools coming in," said Holmes. "Utah, Colorado and San Jose State came by a couple of times and Cal, UCLA, Fresno State, San Diego State and Sacramento State all did."

Holmes plans to hit a number of camps this summer and take a few more unofficial visits.

"I'm still trying to decide where all I'll go and visit schools but I want to make my final schedule sometime this week," said Holmes.

Cal and UCLA are two camps that Holmes knows he'll visit.
