One of the top quarterbacks in Northern California in what will be a loaded group of passers in the West, Kearns is doing all he can to get some early offers.
He threw at the Oakland NFTC and San Francisco Elite 11 and thought he showed well.
"It was great to have a bunch of great quarterbacks in my class like Josh Rosen and Ricky Town, on the same field," said Kearns. "You see how you feel you stand with a lot of the best quarterbacks in the business. It was a great opportunity to get better."
Kearns had UCLA coach Angus McClure and Taylor Mazzone come by during the spring to watch him throw.
"I know I'm going to do their camp this summer and I'm definitely interested in UCLA," said Kearns.
Academically, Kearns has a 3.5 and will take the SAT as a junior, with plans to take it numerous times.
