Apsay Could Be Getting Closer

Canyon Country (Calif.) Canyon quarterback Cade Apsay had an early offer from Arizona and recently picked up his second Pac-12 offer. A decision from him could be coming soon...

Cade Apsay was in Eugene, Oregon, on Sunday trying to make one last ditch effort to make it to the Elite 11 Finals. He's one of six players still on the bubble but said he felt he did just OK following the camp.

"To be honest, I wasn't satisfied with my performance out here today," Apsay said. "I wanted to come out with my A game but never showed it. My mechanics were off, my spiral wasn't there and my feet weren't there either. It just wasn't my best day."

On the recruiting front, Apsay had an early offer from Arizona and picked up his second Pac-12 offer last week.

"I got an offer from Colorado last weekend," Apsay said. "They had been telling me they were close for a while and just told me to be patient and it would come. It's definitely exciting and I really like both Arizona and Colorado a lot. I'm doing a lot of thinking right now and I could be close to making a decision.

"I'm real close to both coaching staffs and the settings at both schools are great. Tucson and Boulder are both great cities and beautiful places. I'm camping with UCLA on Tuesday and Oregon State on Saturday. Hopefully those schools offer but if not, I have two great schools to choose from and I think I could decide very shortly."
