Broadus High on UCLA

Diamond Bar (Calif.) receiver Cordell Broadus lists the Bruins as an early favorite and plans to camp at UCLA this Friday...

Get It Done Sports hosted a camp at Cerritos JC (Calif.) on Saturday and the Oregon State coaching staff was on hand instructing the players. One player on hand but unable to work out was elite 2015 receiver Cordell Broadus.

"I'm just resting my knee so I can be ready for the season," Broadus said. "I was having some growing pains and it was bothering me all spring so I'm just rehabbing it, resting and I'll be ready to go in October. I wanted to come out here and watch the camp and talk to some of the coaches.

"It was cool, I camped with Oregon State last year and they were one of my first offers. I talked with Coach Brennan and he's one of the best WR coaches in the Pac 12. He told me keep working hard and to stay humble. I have two years before I'm making a decision but he said to keep them in mind and I definitely plan to."

Broadus said he's now at 10 scholarship offers with the most recent being from LSU, Tennessee and Nebraska.

"I'm open to everyone right now, I don't plan to announce until Signing Day in 2015," Broadus said. "The schools I'm probably feeling the most right now are probably LSU, Oregon State, UCLA and Notre Dame although Notre Dame hasn't offered yet.

"I like USC too but I'm not a lock to go there like a lot of people have been saying. I was just at their camp last week and talked with the WR coach, Tee Martin. They just offered Jaleel Wadood and he's a very good friend of mine so that was special for sure. The UCLA camp is next week and Biggie (Iman Marshall) and I talked about going out there together so I'll probably be out at that one too."
