Lasley Hopes to Impress

The Gardena (Calif.) Serra receiver, Jordan Lasley, is hoping to earn an offer from UCLA at Friday's Elite Camp...

Gardena (Calif.) Serra athlete Jordan Lasley (6-2, 185) has a half dozen offers as the summer approaches.

"My offers are from Boise State, Utah, Colorado State, San Diego State, San Jose State and Indiana, said Lasley.

The next two weeks will also put Lasley at camps nearby, where he hopes good performances opens up eyes.

"I'm going to the UCLA Elite Camp on Friday and then I'm going to a day of USC's Rising Stars Camp," said Lasley. "A lot of Serra guys are going to UCLA's camp on Friday and I went last year and I plan to have another good performance. I definitely feel that if I go and show out at the UCLA camp, they'll be really interested. And if I don't get an offer then, they'll notice me enough and maybe they'll offer me during the season."

Lasley said an offer from the Bruins would cause him to seriously consider it.

"I'm not sure I'd commit right away, but I'd definitely be interested, and I may be actually close to committing," said Lasley.

Lasley said UCLA likes him as a receiver and he plans to take a couple of reps as a defensive back.

Several schools like Lasley as an athlete.

"Some schools think I can play corner at the next level or safety, but I love receiver," said Lasley. "Coach (Keith) Heyward at Washington said they like me as a corner. And I've been talking more and more with Coach (Tee) Martin at USC and they like me as a receiver."

Lasley will also camp at the B2G Elite Camp next weekend after the two L.A. school camps.
