UCLA Commit Camps at USC

Gardena (Calif.) Serra wideout Jordan Lasley committed to UCLA over the weekend after a dominant showing at the Bruins Elite Camp last Friday. Lasley decided to do one more camp and was at USC's camp Wednesday...

Jordan Lasley had a big spring culminating in him landing a scholarship offer from UCLA last Friday. He committed the following day but decided to do his thing at USC on Wednesday.

"I had already signed up for it so I wanted to go out there and show what I could do," Lasley said. "If USC were to offer, that would be big, I would think about it but my commitment to UCLA is solid. They're supposed to call one of my coaches today so I guess I'll find out soon if they want to offer or not.

"It was a fun camp though, I had a good time and enjoyed working with Tee Martin, the WR coach. I thought I did my thing out there and was one of the top receivers. My teammate Brandon Burton and Rahshead Johnson were all really good as well and that tight end Bryce Dixon was crazy. He was catching everything with no gloves on."

Lasley said he got some great feedback from Martin following the camp.

"He told me I look like Robert Woods running my routes," Lasley said. "That's pretty big and he also said if Marqise (Lee) leaves early, which everyone thinks he will, I could come in and play early because they only have a couple of healthy receivers.

"I'm very happy with UCLA though, that was always my dream school. I like the coaching staff a lot and I love the location. My family likes UCLA a lot so it will take a lot to get me to turn away from UCLA right now."
