LSU Commit Visits West Coast

Westlake (Louisiana) four-star tight end Jacory Washington, an LSU commit, recently visited the West Coast...

The nation's No. 7 tight end, Jacory Washington, talked about his trip out west.

"I went to the B2G camp and went out to USC," said Washington, who reined in an offer from the Trojans in late June (as reported by Lindsey Thiry).

"USC was cool. It's a nice campus. Coach Kiffen is a real cool cat. I didn't get to visit UCLA, other than participating in the camp. We couldn't talk with the coaches.

"I had a pretty good week and left Sunday."

A non-football highlight occurred during the trip when Washington and four-star Alabama RB pledge Bo Scarborough met actor Tommy "Tiny" Lister, who is perhaps most famous for his role as "Debo" in a series of comedies.

"We went out to eat and met Debo," Washington explained. "When we walked in, I said excuse me and asked if he'd take a pic. He was acting like he was mad and started choking me (laughter).

"He talked to us about life. He's a big guy, around 6-4 and 300 pounds."

A long-time LSU commit, Washington spoke about his recruitment.

"My commitment is solid," he said, "but I'm going to take visits. Of course, I'm going to visit LSU. I'm also going back to the West Coast. I plan to visit Ole Miss, Auburn and UCLA, for certain."

Washington keeps in frequent contact with fellow LSU commits Chris Hardeman and Ed Paris. Both Hardman and Paris are Texas prospects, although Paris is a native of New Orleans.
