The Opening: Christian Miller

BEAVERTON, Oregon - Could Christian Miller commit sooner than he thought he would? That is a possibility and he talks about it here...

Christian Miller recently visited Georgia, he has a planned trip to Alabama in July, and he is not ruling out a summer decision now.

"I think I could commit a little earlier than expected, but that is not a definite or anything," Miller told Scout at The Opening. "I could make a decision right before my season starts. That could happen, we will just have to wait and see."'s complete coverage of The Opening 2013 presented by NIKE
Miller will be back in Tuscaloosa for the third time in the coming weeks and he doesn't really have any questions entering this visit.

"I really know everything, especially on the football side, but I just want to get a better feel for the lifestyle there. Football season is only a few months out of the year, so I want to know what it is like the rest of the time. That would be what I am looking for this time."

In June, Miller tripped to Athens and he and his mother enjoyed it.

"The best part of the visit was meeting Coach [Mark] Richt and spending time with him. Me and my mother like him and we both learned a lot about him. He is a great guy."

Will the mother play a role in the decision? Is her approval important?

"She is not really evaluating the schools or coaches like I am, but she does want me to be in good hands when I go off to college," said the Scout 100 outside linebacker.

"She is not really helping me pick the school or anything like that."

Miller is a former Florida commitment and he said he could return to Gainesville, Fla. for another visit this summer, but nothing has been planned yet.

He was not ready to release a list of favorites at this time, but if he had to, he said it would be Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and UCLA.
